POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Product Specialist/Senior Product Specialist in Hyderabad to drive sales and marketing initiatives for our GLP-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1 RA) portfolio, including Rybelsus® and Victoza®.

This role involves healthcare professional (HCP) engagement, sales execution, competitor analysis, and strategic marketing initiatives to enhance GLP-1 adoption for Type 2 Diabetes and Obesity treatment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Stakeholder Engagement & Sales Performance

  • Identify and map key stakeholders in the assigned territory to execute marketing campaigns and sales strategies.
  • Engage with doctors, endocrinologists, cardiologists, and specialists to detail Novo Nordisk products, handle queries, and secure prescriptions.
  • Adhere to sales KPIs, including call average, frequency, coverage, and order booking.
  • Conduct regular prescription audits to:
    • Analyze doctors’ prescribing behaviors.
    • Evaluate previous engagements.
    • Identify competitors’ strategies and prescribers.

Stock Management & Order Booking

  • Ensure timely product supply by coordinating with C&FA agents and stockists.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels with retailers and distributors.
  • Facilitate order bookings to ensure consistent product availability in the market.

Strategic Marketing & Competitor Analysis

  • Assist the Area Sales Manager in segmenting doctors for high-value engagements.
  • Collect and report competitive intelligence on market trends, competitor activities, and prescriber behaviors.
  • Conduct CME (Continuing Medical Education) and PEP (Patient Education Programs) after obtaining necessary approvals.

Process Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure timely submission of daily call reports, monthly sales reports, and tour plans.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate doctor contact records.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Life Sciences (Full-time).
  • Experience:
    • Up to 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
    • Prior exposure to Diabetes, Cardiology, Oncology, or other super-specialty therapy areas is an advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Ability to analyze market trends and competitor activities.
    • Self-motivated and result-driven approach.
