Position Overview:
ProPharma is seeking a Senior Director, PV Client Support to lead and oversee global pharmacovigilance client operations, including Client Services and PV India teams. The ideal candidate will have strategic leadership experience, expertise in PV operations, finance and project management, and a proven ability to manage complex client relationships in the CRO or pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Policy Development:

  • Define and execute the long-term vision for PV Client Support and align strategies with organizational goals.

  • Lead development and management of Requests for Information (RFIs) and Proposals (RFPs) for clients.

  • Drive operational targets for efficiency, quality, and compliance across Client Services and PV India teams.

  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, regulatory changes, and client expectations to inform strategic planning.

Financial Oversight & Budget Management:

  • Participate in PV budget management and monitor team productivity, efficiency, and financial performance.

  • Ensure adherence to financial targets, operational KPIs, and compliance metrics.

Team Leadership & Talent Development:

  • Coach, mentor, and provide real-time feedback to PV Client Support and Indian teams.

  • Oversee recruitment, performance evaluations, and professional development of team members.

  • Collaborate with global PV teams to enhance efficiency, quality, and cross-functional coordination.

Client Relations & Governance:

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex client issues, ensuring satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

  • Support negotiations for sensitive projects with large clients and commercial partners.

  • Oversee PV activities for Indian teams, including case intake, triage, quality review, literature search, and workflow compliance.

  • Ensure PV documentation is complete, consistent, and up-to-date.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives and quality investigations.

Data & Analytical Management:

  • Analyze and interpret large data sets to support decision-making, operational performance, and strategic initiatives.

  • Maintain advanced expertise in Excel and Excel-based pricing tools; VBA experience is preferred.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; advanced degrees preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in pharmacovigilance or CRO operations, with leadership and client-facing responsibilities.

  • Minimum 3+ years in finance, budgeting, or project management, preferably in CRO or pharmaceutical settings.

  • Proven experience supporting and writing RFI and RFP responses.

  • Strong knowledge of PV operations, biopharmaceutical industry standards, and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise in PV operational metrics, KPIs, and governance processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-cultural teams and global client operations.

  • Advanced analytical, strategic, and leadership abilities with focus on continuous process improvement.
