Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior BPO Forecasting Associate to join our BPO Forecasting team at athenahealth. In this role, you will lead the monthly forecasting process across multiple business lines, providing insight into staffing, work allocation, and vendor performance. You will also drive accurate and timely invoice reconciliations, ensuring operational accountability and reliability across outsourced services.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to translate quantitative data into actionable insights. This role offers exposure to senior leadership while enabling you to improve repeatable processes and drive measurable business outcomes in a high-volume Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly vendor forecasting process, ensuring alignment with Statements of Work (SOW) and accuracy thresholds

  • Communicate workforce plan impacts to stakeholders to support data-driven decisions

  • Provide analytics to guide work allocation and optimize BPO partner performance

  • Monitor forecast accuracy, lead root-cause analyses, and drive continuous improvement initiatives

  • Connect forecasts with Service Level Agreement (SLA) monitoring, in-month calculations, and invoice reconciliation

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Analytics, Partner Management, Vendor Management, and business line teams

  • Support the evolution of vendor agreements and SOWs using forecast and performance scenarios

  • Reconcile monthly vendor invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments


Education & Experience Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in forecasting, workforce management, finance, or operations analytics

  • Experience in BPO or RCM operations preferred

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and quantitative analysis

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and convert data into actionable decisions

  • Ability to work in-office one day per week and attend three in-person meetings annually

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with BI tools such as Sigma, Power BI, or Tableau for SLA dashboards

  • Knowledge of SLA-based contracting and understanding of how forecast accuracy impacts staffing, overtime, and credits


Compensation

  • $66,000 – $112,000 annually (base salary varies based on experience, skills, and geographical location)

  • Total Rewards package may include discretionary bonuses, variable compensation plans, long-term incentives, and equity opportunities
