Job Summary
Fortrea is seeking a talented SAS Programmer to join its Data Management & Data Science team in Bangalore. The role focuses on SAS programming, clinical data transformation, database design, and EDC system support. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in SAS and EDC tools and contribute to creating datasets for regulatory and clinical purposes. This opportunity offers experience in global clinical trials with a leading contract research organization (CRO).
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute processes for data analysis setup using the SAAMA tool.
Program and maintain SAS datasets based on client/CDISC specifications.
Develop programs to import, transform, and reconcile external clinical data.
Support database design and EDC/SAS edit checks programming.
Generate listings, ad-hoc reports, and data summaries using SAS/Cognos/Business Objects XI.
Create CRF annotations and data mapping documents.
Comply with GCP and Fortrea SOPs and project-specific guidelines.
Stay updated with CDISC standards and statistical programming trends.
Provide status updates and communicate progress to management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a regulated clinical environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Information Technology, or related field.
2–6 years of experience in data management, EDC, or SAS programming.
Proficient in SAS programming and data handling tools.
Good problem-solving and proactive approach.
Strong communication (oral & written) and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with clinical trial processes, data management, and regulatory standards.
Time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines with quality output.
