Job Title: Retail Pharmacist - Per Diem

Job Overview

Nuvem is seeking a compassionate, patient-centric Per Diem Retail Pharmacist to manage pharmacy operations in collaboration with the current pharmacy manager. The position is located within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Cincinnati, OH, with a Monday through Friday schedule. This role involves managing relationships with health center clients, engaging with clinical providers, providing drug-related education, and participating in clinical meetings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Provide education and support to patients regarding their medications, including advice on prescriptions and managing chronic/specialty conditions.
  • Team Leadership: Manage pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, and ensure that team members receive the necessary training and education.
  • Pharmacy Operations: Oversee key operational aspects, including:
    • Patient safety
    • Compliance with pharmacy regulations
    • Quality assurance and customer service
    • Personnel and inventory management
    • Financial profitability and loss prevention
    • Workflow management
  • Legal Compliance: Stay up-to-date on HIPAA and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse regulations. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and maintain awareness of facility policies.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor of Science or PharmD in Pharmacy from an accredited university.
    • Required state licensing/credentialing/certification.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • 3+ years in a related pharmacy role (retail pharmacy experience preferred).
    • Familiarity with 340b programs is a plus.
    • Excellent communication and patient service skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Fine motor skills (e.g., repetitive hand motions).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
