Position Overview

We are seeking a Regional Medical Advisor – Oncology to act as the primary scientific interface with healthcare professionals, thought leaders, and key stakeholders in the assigned geography. The role focuses on medical engagement, scientific communication, and strategic insight generation to support optimal patient outcomes and organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate will have strong scientific acumen, therapeutic area knowledge, and communication skills, enabling peer-to-peer interactions with leading specialists.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, map, and profile key opinion leaders (KOLs) and thought leaders in the assigned region and therapy area

  • Engage KOLs through medical affairs initiatives, including advisory boards, medical education, pre-launch activities, and evidence generation

  • Serve as a therapeutic area expert, providing scientific insights on products, patient treatment trends, and clinical research findings

  • Gather and analyze disease trends, treatment patterns, and unmet needs, providing actionable insights to therapy leads and commercial teams

  • Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions with physicians, pharmacists, hospital managers, and other stakeholders

  • Support development and approval of promotional, educational, and medical information materials, ensuring alignment with compliance and COBE policies

  • Collaborate with thought leaders on meta-analyses, case studies, patient-reported outcomes, and publication in reputable journals

  • Deliver training and knowledge transfer to sales and marketing teams on therapeutic areas and products

  • Contribute to medical affairs strategy development for assigned therapeutic areas and products

  • Ensure all regional activities comply with COBE (Code of Business Ethics), regulatory guidelines, and company standards

  • Actively support new product ideation and pipeline development through stakeholder engagement and insight generation


Required Qualifications

Education:

  • MBBS with a full-time postgraduate qualification (minimum 2 years) in any discipline of medicine

  • MBBS with MBA from a reputed institute also considered

Experience:

  • Fresh postgraduate or up to 2 years of experience in field-based Medical Affairs

  • Exposure to Oncology therapy area is advantageous

  • Strong knowledge of the therapeutic area, clinical research methodologies, and interpretation of scientific data

  • Ability to communicate complex medical concepts credibly and effectively to senior healthcare professionals

  • Familiarity with scientific literature, publications, and meta-analyses
