Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Affairs Specialist who will act as the primary scientific face of Dr. Reddy’s to physicians and thought leaders within a defined therapy area. This role involves strategic engagement, medical education, evidence generation, and insight collection to shape therapeutic advancements and improve patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Thought Leader Engagement

    • Identify, map, and profile thought leaders in assigned geographies and therapy areas.

    • Build trusted, peer-to-peer scientific relationships with healthcare professionals (physicians, pharmacists, hospital managers, scientific societies).

  • Strategic Medical Affairs Execution

    • Implement medical affairs plans, including medical/product education, advisory boards, evidence generation, and pre-licensing activities.

    • Provide scientific expertise to support patient outcomes and organizational goals.

    • Represent Dr. Reddy’s at internal and external scientific forums.

  • Insight Generation & Strategy

    • Collect and analyze insights on disease trends and treatment patterns.

    • Translate insights into strategic medical action plans and contribute to annual Medical Affairs Strategy Plans.

    • Identify knowledge/practice/data gaps and develop targeted medical education or evidence-generation initiatives.

  • Scientific Communication & Publications

    • Respond to scientific information requests from physicians.

    • Collaborate with thought leaders on reviews, meta-analyses, case studies, and patient-reported outcomes for publication in reputable journals.

    • Handle complex queries related to Dr. Reddy’s products or therapy areas.

  • Training & Collaboration

    • Develop and deliver medical training programs for sales and marketing teams.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of medical and commercial strategies.

  • Compliance & Ethics

    • Ensure all activities align with Dr. Reddy’s Code of Business Ethics (COBE) and compliance guidelines.

    • Ensure timely approval of promotional and educational materials as per company policy.

  • Innovation & Product Development

    • Identify unmet medical needs through stakeholder engagement.

    • Act as a pipeline champion, contributing to ideation and development of differentiated products.


Qualifications

  • Education:

    • MBBS with a full-time postgraduate qualification (≥2 years) in any discipline of medicine

    • OR MBBS with MBA from a reputed institute

  • Experience:

    • Fresh postgraduate or up to 2 years of experience in Field-based Medical Affairs

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong academic and research background with deep therapeutic area knowledge

    • Proficiency in interpreting medical data and research methodologies

    • Strong scientific communication skills to engage with leading specialists

    • Experience in complex business environments (preferred)

  • Behavioral Skills:
