Job Summary

Act as the scientific face of the organization for healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in a defined therapy area and geography. Responsible for scientific engagement, insights generation, and medical strategy execution.


Key Responsibilities

1. Scientific Leadership & KOL Engagement

  • Identify and map thought leaders in assigned geography

  • Engage physicians, pharmacists, and scientific stakeholders

  • Act as a trusted scientific advisor in therapy areas

  • Represent the organization in scientific platforms


2. Medical Strategy Execution

  • Support therapy area leads in improving patient outcomes

  • Execute medical affairs strategies across regions

  • Contribute to annual medical strategy development

  • Manage scientific communication with HCPs


3. Insights & Disease Trend Analysis

  • Gather insights from KOLs on treatment patterns

  • Analyze disease trends and share insights with internal teams

  • Identify practice gaps, knowledge gaps, and unmet needs

  • Convert insights into actionable strategies


4. Evidence Generation & Publications

  • Collaborate on:

    • Meta-analyses

    • Case studies and case series

    • Therapy-specific reviews

    • Patient-reported outcomes

  • Publish research in peer-reviewed journals


5. Training & Internal Support

  • Develop training programs for sales and marketing teams

  • Ensure dissemination of latest scientific knowledge

  • Support capability building within commercial teams


6. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to COBE (Code of Business Ethics)

  • Maintain compliance with promotional and medical material approvals

  • Ensure ethical scientific communication at all levels


7. Product & Pipeline Development

  • Identify unmet medical needs through field insights

  • Contribute to new product ideation

  • Support differentiated product development


Qualifications

Education

  • MBBS with:

    • Minimum 2-year full-time postgraduate qualification OR

    • MBBS + MBA from a reputed institute


Experience

  • Fresh postgraduate OR up to 2 years in field-based Medical Affairs
