About the Role

Novo Nordisk is seeking a highly skilled medical professional to join its Medical Affairs team as a Regional Medical Advisor (RMA). This position plays a strategic role in shaping local medical initiatives, engaging scientific leaders, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical communication and education across the region.
The Regional Medical Advisor serves as the scientific representative of Novo Nordisk, driving medical excellence and supporting patient-centric strategies.


Key Responsibilities

Medical Strategy Execution

  • Implement national Medical Affairs strategies through regional medical action plans.

  • Translate scientific objectives into measurable activities aligned with local needs.

Scientific Engagement

  • Establish and maintain strong scientific relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), diabetologists, endocrinologists, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Lead scientific exchange to enhance understanding of Novo Nordisk’s therapy portfolio.

Clinical Insights & Evidence Communication

  • Participate in scientific meetings, clinical discussions, and medical forums to capture insights on clinical trends and unmet needs.

  • Consolidate and communicate insights to internal cross-functional teams for strategic decision-making.

Brand & Commercial Support

  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and cross-functional stakeholders to support product positioning.

  • Provide medical guidance to anticipate market changes and recommend evidence-based interventions.

Medical Training & Education

  • Develop, review, and deliver scientific training for field teams, HCPs, and internal staff.

  • Ensure consistency and compliance in medical messaging and clinical knowledge dissemination.

Scientific Support

  • Provide clinical expertise for product information, data interpretation, and therapeutic positioning.

  • Support internal teams with medical responses, literature updates, and clinical evidence review.

Compliance & Ethical Standards

  • Ensure all medical activities meet local regulatory requirements, industry codes, and Novo Nordisk policies.

  • Uphold high ethical standards and maintain scientific integrity in all engagements.


Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • MD or MBBS from a recognized university.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Affairs is desirable.

  • Preferably prior experience as an MSL or Regional Medical Advisor.

  • Experience with diabetes, obesity, or metabolic disorders is strongly preferred.

Technical and Scientific Skills

  • Strong understanding of diabetes and metabolic disease therapy areas.

  • Ability to interpret clinical data and scientific literature.

  • Analytical skills to evaluate clinical trends and generate actionable insights.

Stakeholder Engagement Skills

  • Proven ability to build scientific credibility and long-term relationships with HCPs/KOLs.

  • Strong communication skills for scientific discussions and presentations.

Personal Attributes

  • Proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented.

  • High integrity and strict adherence to compliance standards.

  • Ability to translate science into practical regional medical actions.
