Position Overview

Gilead Sciences is seeking an experienced Public Affairs Senior Specialist to support corporate communications, internal communications, and social/digital media operations for Gilead China. This role is essential for professionals with strong public relations, digital content management, and cross-functional communication expertise within the healthcare sector. The position contributes directly to enhancing corporate reputation, strengthening employee engagement, and ensuring consistent communication across digital platforms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of Gilead China’s annual corporate communications plan. Collaborate closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure high-quality delivery of public affairs initiatives.

  • Manage Gilead China’s official presence across digital and social media platforms, including the corporate website, WeChat channels, and video platforms. Coordinate content development, review, and approval with cross-functional teams.

  • Assist in internal communication and employee engagement programs, such as annual kick-off meetings, townhalls, Gilead Month of Service, Patient Day, and other corporate culture initiatives.

  • Contribute to broader Public Affairs activities when needed, ensuring alignment with corporate communication objectives.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of public relations experience, either in an agency or in-house corporate communications role.

  • At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is required.

  • Strong skills in content development, editorial planning, and storytelling for corporate and digital communication.

  • Proven experience managing digital and social media platforms, preferably within regulated industries.

  • Excellent written communication skills in both Chinese and English.

  • Strong interpersonal, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Demonstrates proactivity, teamwork mindset, and exceptional attention to detail.
