Job Overview
The Project Management Assistant – Trainee supports project management teams in coordinating administrative, operational, and reporting activities within laboratory and pharmaceutical environments. This role involves working closely with project managers, scientific teams, and internal departments to support project execution, financial tracking, and data management activities.

The position offers hands-on exposure to project management processes, laboratory information systems, and client engagement functions, making it an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals seeking growth in pharmaceutical project management and laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support subcontracted report uploads into Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and facilitate analytical report revisions.

  • Assist with internal financial processes, including purchase order management, client discount administration, change order authorization, and end-of-month billing activities.

  • Generate process monitoring and manual reports using PowerBI and LIMS to support project managers and client operations.

  • Collaborate with scientific departments to create cumulative reports for in-house stability studies by interpreting stability protocols, specifications, and reporting requirements.

  • Provide administrative support to project management teams, including data entry into LIMS, document management, and system account setup.

  • Assist in procurement activities such as supply and equipment ordering.

  • Support cross-functional coordination between scientific, technical, and operational teams.

  • Engage in direct client communication when required and provide timely project updates.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant science discipline or business field (M.Sc, M.Pharm, or MBA).

  • 1–2 years of pharmaceutical or life sciences industry experience preferred.

  • Exposure to laboratory operations, project coordination, or pharmaceutical workflows is advantageous.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for internal and client interactions.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities.
