Job Summary

Pfizer is hiring a Planning Director – Integrated Media Strategy to lead audience-centric, insight-driven marketing initiatives for global pharmaceutical products. This role requires a strong command of global media strategy, marketing technology, and pharmaceutical brand leadership. As a strategic partner to commercial teams and media agencies, you will influence full-funnel performance marketing campaigns, optimize media mix across platforms, and drive measurable ROI in a healthcare-driven, innovation-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main media liaison for assigned regions between global commercial teams and media services

  • Lead strategy and execution of cross-channel (paid, earned, owned) media plans

  • Utilize insights and analytics to guide media investment and optimize campaign performance

  • Manage media mix modeling, budget allocation, and measurement

  • Ensure global consistency through Pfizer's CoLab media planning framework

  • Mentor internal teams and foster a culture of excellence and innovation

  • Drive strategic decisions with focus on marketing effectiveness and ROI

  • Develop deep product and therapeutic area knowledge to shape impactful campaigns

  • Guide vendor selection and collaborate with external media agencies


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field (Master’s preferred)

  • 10+ years of experience in media strategy, pharmaceutical or healthcare preferred

  • Experience with large-scale brand campaigns (B2B and/or B2C)

  • Proficient in global data-driven media planning and buying

  • Strong understanding of media technologies and platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager)

  • Familiarity with customer journey mapping and omnichannel planning

  • Proven leadership in matrixed, cross-functional environments

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Fluency in English; additional languages a plus
