Job Title: Pharmacist
Location: BrightSpring Health Services, Cincinnati, OH

Compensation: $118,560 to $124,800 per year

Overview:
PharMerica is seeking a highly capable and motivated pharmacist to join their team. As a non-retail pharmacy, PharMerica provides exceptional service to hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, long-term acute care centers, and specialized care centers across the nation. This role offers the chance to develop pharmaceutical skills under the guidance of a state-licensed pharmacist in a growing company with opportunities for career progression.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday: 7 AM - 3 PM, 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM, 11:30 AM - 7:30 PM (Rotating)
  • Rotating Saturday: 8 AM - 4 PM
  • Rotating Sunday: 8 AM - 2 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and route of administration.
  • Make recommendations for therapy changes to the physician and facility staff.
  • Maintain patient/resident database, including medical history, clinical data, and medications.
  • Ensure appropriate laboratory tests are ordered and discussed with the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support.
  • Document communication with physicians, nurses, patients, and families in the medical record.
  • Implement policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal of medications.
  • Assist with documentation required by regulatory agencies.
  • Inform the Pharmacy Manager of medication-related errors.
  • Assist facility staff with procedures for safe medication procurement, administration, and disposal.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
  • At least one year of experience in long-term care.
  • Required Licenses/Certifications as per government regulations.
  • Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and a team player with excellent oral communication skills.
