About the Role

Roche invites applications for a full-time Pathologist to support advanced research, diagnostics innovation, and regulatory submissions. This role is based in Tucson, Arizona and offers the opportunity to directly influence the development of next-generation assays and diagnostic technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert pathology and slide-reading support for FDA submissions, clinical trials, and pharmaceutical partners.

  • Support R&D initiatives focused on developing primary antibodies, detection systems, probes, and special stains.

  • Serve as the medical representative on cross-functional project teams, contributing to pathology-driven development strategies.

  • Advise leadership on evolving pathology and medical needs within the diagnostic landscape.

  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency within R&D workflows.


Required Qualifications

  • M.D. or D.O. with US Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology.

  • Active State Medical License in the United States.

  • Completion of an accredited Pathology Residency program.


Preferred Experience

  • Fellowship training with a minimum of 1 year of clinical or industry experience.

  • Background in immunohistochemistry, cytology, molecular diagnostics, and/or genetics.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range (Tucson, AZ): USD 172,600 – 320,500.
    Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and geographic factors.

  • Annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
