Role Overview

The Paid Media Lead plays a critical role within the APJ Digital Marketing Operations Center of Excellence (COE), driving paid media strategy, execution, and performance optimization across the Asia Pacific region. Reporting to the Performance Marketing Manager, this position is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing large-scale digital advertising campaigns that support global and regional business objectives.

This is a high-impact leadership role for an experienced paid media professional who thrives in a matrixed, global environment and is motivated to drive measurable business growth through programmatic and social advertising.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in paid media, performance marketing, or digital advertising

  • Strong background in managing large advertising budgets across multiple channels and regions

  • Experience working within global or matrixed organizations is highly preferred

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, or a related discipline

  • Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and optimize large-scale paid media campaigns across programmatic platforms such as Sizmek and Rubicon, third-party media channels including ResearchGate and BioPharma APAC, and social platforms such as LinkedIn and Meta (Facebook)

  • Develop data-driven media strategies to drive qualified traffic, improve return on ad spend (ROAS), and achieve marketing and business objectives across multiple product lines

  • Collaborate with APJ Digital Marketing Operations COE specialists to define audience segmentation, performance benchmarks, and key performance indicators

  • Build comprehensive media plans covering targeting strategies, budget allocation, timelines, and execution frameworks

  • Partner with divisional marketing and finance teams to allocate and optimize paid media budgets based on performance insights

  • Monitor campaign performance and prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and insights for regional and global stakeholders

  • Provide clear, actionable recommendations to continuously improve campaign effectiveness and efficiency

  • Collaborate with marketing analysts and creative teams to ensure high-quality creative assets aligned with campaign objectives

  • Stay informed on emerging paid media trends, platforms, and best practices, adapting strategies accordingly

  • Influence and support regional marketing teams to test new media platforms and advertising approaches

  • Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting best practices and supporting professional development

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Deep expertise in paid media channels, including programmatic advertising, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, and third-party media platforms

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

  • Proven experience in campaign measurement, optimization, and performance reporting

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional and regional teams

  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the life sciences, healthcare, or scientific industries

  • Familiarity with APAC and East Asian markets

  • Ability to read or write Korean or Japanese is considered an advantage
