The Medical Scientific Liaison position at Takeda in Istanbul, Turkey, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a globally renowned, patient-focused pharmaceutical company. Reporting to the Therapeutic Area Lead, this role is instrumental in fostering scientific relationships, providing medical insights, and supporting the therapeutic area with updated clinical knowledge.


Key Role Highlights

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Scientific Relationships: Develop peer-to-peer connections with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across healthcare, academia, and government organizations to align with strategic plans.
  • Scientific Exchange: Facilitate medical information exchange and expand Takeda’s partnerships in research and education.
  • Medical Insights: Communicate insights from KOLs/Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to inform medical and brand strategies.
  • Presentations: Share clinical, diagnostic, and disease-related knowledge with diverse audiences.
  • Study Support: Serve as a liaison for investigators in Takeda-sponsored or investigator-initiated studies.
  • Training: Conduct therapeutic training for cross-functional teams and third parties.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to Takeda’s ethical standards, pharmacovigilance SOPs, and report quality issues promptly.

Mandatory Responsibilities

  • Act in alignment with Takeda’s Information Security and Acceptable Use Policies.
  • Champion quality and safety, promptly reporting concerns to relevant teams.
  • Embody ethical behavior and raise concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Complete all required global training and comply with Takeda policies.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine or Pharmacy.
  • Advanced knowledge of English (written and verbal); proficiency in Turkish is also required.

Experience:

  • Preferred medical, clinical, or research experience in relevant disease areas.
  • Strong understanding of clinical outcomes and diagnostic data interpretation.

Skills:

  • Communication & Leadership: Superior communication and presentation abilities in Turkish and English.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret clinical outcomes and advance scientific exchange.
  • Strategic Planning: Proficiency in planning and prioritizing projects independently.
  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrated effectiveness in virtual and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge: Up-to-date understanding of disease states, study methodologies, and clinical information.
