Key Responsibilities:

  1. External Engagement:

    • Facilitate non-promotional, peer-to-peer scientific exchanges with SLs and KDMs, adhering to local regulations and industry guidelines.
    • Gain deep insights into the therapeutic area and regional healthcare needs, data gaps, and challenges.
    • Represent the Medical Affairs department at medical events, such as congresses and symposia, coordinating both pre- and post-event scientific activities.
    • Respond to unsolicited medical and scientific queries from SLs or KDMs, using approved materials.
    • Organize and participate in various scientific exchange activities, including hospital lectures, journal clubs, and advisory boards.
    • Provide medical/scientific support for Health Technology Assessments (HTAs) and formulary decisions.
  2. Internal Collaboration:

    • Contribute to the formulation and execution of regional Medical Affairs Plans.
    • Support clinical trials by identifying potential study investigators.
    • Provide valuable insights based on scientific exchanges to inform development programs, company strategy, and the identification of research gaps.
    • Offer scientific training to commercial colleagues and support patient access programs.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Medical Advisors and other MSLs in the therapeutic area (TA).
  3. Strategic and Research Support:

    • Apply updated scientific knowledge in peer-to-peer exchanges.
    • Demonstrate strategic thinking and research support through internal collaboration and the efficient use of organizational systems.
    • Provide leadership in aligning and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet organizational goals.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Scientific Expertise: Strong baseline knowledge in the assigned therapeutic area(s) with an understanding of clinical trials, data interpretation, and the latest scientific developments.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to confidently present complex scientific data and engage with both internal and external stakeholders in a professional, credible manner.
  • Collaboration: Strong ability to work in cross-functional teams, with experience in aligning with other medical affairs professionals, commercial teams, and research teams.
  • Project Management: Effective in managing multiple tasks, staying organized under pressure, and ensuring timely delivery of key activities.
  • Leadership: Capable of leading scientific initiatives, providing guidance on research and scientific insights, and fostering cooperation across teams.
  • Educational Background: A degree in pharmacy or a related field (e.g., life sciences) is required.
