Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Neurology, with a strong focus on Alzheimer’s Disease, to support scientific engagement across the Pacific Northwest region. This field-based role strengthens relationships with healthcare professionals, drives scientific exchange, and ensures accurate dissemination of clinical data and product value.

The ideal candidate brings advanced scientific expertise, strong communication skills, and proven experience supporting medical, commercial, and clinical development functions in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.


Experience Level Required

Minimum 5+ years of relevant industry experience, including:

  • At least 2+ years as a Medical Science Liaison or in a Medical Affairs/Clinical role

  • Extensive therapeutic experience in Neurology, specifically Alzheimer’s Disease

  • Experience collaborating with HCPs, KOLs, research sites, and cross-functional medical teams


Key Responsibilities

Scientific Engagement & Relationship Development

  • Serve as a primary scientific liaison between the organization and key external stakeholders, including physicians, researchers, KOLs, academic centers, nurse practitioners, and healthcare systems.

  • Provide expert-level medical education on product mechanisms, clinical outcomes, and therapeutic benefits.

  • Support scientific meetings, round tables, advisory boards, and educational workshops across the assigned region.

Clinical & Field Support

  • Collaborate with clinical trial sites across all phases to support study initiation, patient recruitment, site education, and data dissemination.

  • Coordinate scientific resources to ensure investigators and clinical partners receive timely information.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders in Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, and Sales to advance scientific strategies.

Strategic Territory Management

  • Develop medical territory and account plans aligned with the MSL Field Director.

  • Prioritize engagements based on regional analytics, clinical needs, and scientific impact.

  • Maintain strong understanding of neurology advancements, Alzheimer’s Disease treatment landscape, and evolving clinical evidence.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Complete all reporting requirements, CRM updates (VEEVA), expense submissions, and documentation in compliance with internal SOPs.

  • Manage regional budgets and support organizational compliance standards.

  • Provide monthly reports summarizing scientific, clinical, and field activities.


Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree required: PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical research, or managed care settings.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease is strongly preferred.

  • Proven communication, relationship-building, and scientific presentation skills.

  • Strong business acumen and experience contributing to formulary or medical decision-making processes.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 50–75% overnight across the Pacific Northwest region.


Compensation

Base Pay Range: USD $150,000 – $220,000 annually
Final compensation is determined by experience, education, skills, and geographic factors. Additional incentives, bonuses, and benefits may apply based on role and company policy.
