About the Role

We are seeking an Experienced Medical Scribe to support physicians by accurately managing real-time clinical documentation during patient consultations. As a Virtual Medical Documentation Specialist (VMDS), you will observe live doctor-patient interactions and record structured medical content into the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system according to physician preferences. This role allows physicians to focus on patient care while improving the overall clinical workflow.


Key Responsibilities

  • Document patient encounters in real-time, including medical history, physical examinations, diagnostic findings, test results, medical decisions, and treatment plans.

  • Maintain professional and unobtrusive communication with physicians to ensure precise and complete documentation.

  • Create structured medical notes aligned with individual physician documentation styles.

  • Navigate and update the hospital’s Electronic Health Records (EHR) system efficiently and accurately.

  • Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and internal data privacy policies.

  • Work scheduled shifts, including evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • Demonstrate consistent punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail in all assigned tasks.


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate in Life Sciences or related field.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, with strong comprehension of American English accents.

  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and sentence construction skills.

  • Ability to type and edit text accurately under time-sensitive conditions.

  • Comfortable using computers and clinical software applications.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient data confidentiality.

  • Adherence to high professional ethical standards.
