Clinical Specialist / Stroke Rater – Bengali | Remote Stroke Clinical Trials

IQVIA is seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist / Stroke Rater (Bengali Speaking) to support global stroke clinical trials. This part-time, home-based role is designed for healthcare professionals with expertise in neurological assessments, stroke rating scales, and clinical trial data quality oversight.

Based in Mumbai or anywhere in India, this remote opportunity offers flexible monthly engagement while contributing to high-impact stroke and neurology research programs.

Role Overview

The Clinical Specialist will administer validated stroke assessment tools and review evaluations conducted by other raters to ensure protocol compliance, scoring accuracy, and inter-rater reliability across multicenter clinical trials.

The role requires clinical expertise in stroke management, proficiency in structured neurological scales, and fluency in Bengali for patient and rater interactions.


Key Responsibilities

Stroke Assessment & Rating Administration

  • Administer validated stroke scales to trial participants, including:

    • EQ-5D-5L (Interviewer and Proxy Versions)

    • Modified Rankin Scale (mRS)

  • Ensure accurate, standardized scoring in alignment with study protocols.

  • Maintain certification and calibration requirements for stroke assessments.

Quality Review & Inter-Rater Reliability

  • Review stroke assessments conducted by other raters to ensure adherence to protocol.

  • Evaluate scoring methodology and consistency.

  • Conduct live rater feedback sessions to improve scoring accuracy.

  • Participate in mock interviews and structured rater performance assessments.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare for rater discussions by reviewing case data and study documentation.

  • Complete required documentation and reporting within designated timelines.

  • Participate in training, orientation, and calibration sessions.

  • Maintain strict adherence to regulatory and study compliance standards.


Required Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience working with stroke patients.

  • Prior hands-on experience administering stroke-related rating scales in clinical trials.

  • Experience in structured neurological assessments and outcome measurements.

  • Familiarity with multicenter or global clinical trial environments is preferred.


Educational Qualifications

  • Minimum: Master’s degree (MA/MS) in Medicine, Neurology, Psychology, or a related healthcare discipline.

  • Preferred: MD, DO, or PhD.

  • Equivalent advanced clinical qualifications with relevant stroke expertise may be considered.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proven proficiency in:

    • EQ-5D-5L administration

    • Modified Rankin Scale (mRS) scoring

  • Fluency in Bengali (mandatory).

  • Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills.

  • High level of attention to detail and clinical accuracy.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote, flexible schedule model (2–12 hours per month).
