Clinical Specialist / Stroke Rater – Bengali | Remote Neurology Clinical Trials

IQVIA is recruiting a qualified Clinical Specialist / Stroke Rater (Bengali Speaking) to support global stroke clinical trials. This part-time, home-based opportunity is suited for healthcare professionals with expertise in stroke patient assessment, neurological rating scales, and clinical trial protocol adherence.

This role is ideal for clinicians based in Kolkata or across India who are fluent in Bengali and seeking flexible engagement in high-impact neurology research.

Role Overview

The Clinical Specialist will administer validated stroke rating scales and review rater assessments to ensure accuracy, protocol compliance, and inter-rater reliability in multicenter clinical trials.

The role requires strong clinical judgment, experience in neurological evaluations, and the ability to conduct remote assessments and professional interactions in Bengali.


Key Responsibilities

Stroke Assessment & Clinical Rating

  • Administer standardized stroke scales to clinical trial participants, including:

    • EQ-5D-5L (Interviewer and Proxy Versions)

    • Modified Rankin Scale (mRS)

  • Ensure consistent and protocol-aligned scoring.

  • Maintain certification and compliance with stroke assessment guidelines.

Quality Oversight & Rater Calibration

  • Review and evaluate assessments conducted by other raters for accuracy and adherence to study protocols.

  • Conduct live feedback sessions to support scoring standardization.

  • Participate in mock interviews and performance evaluations of raters.

  • Support inter-rater reliability processes across study sites.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare for rater discussions by reviewing case documentation and patient data.

  • Submit required documentation within defined timelines.

  • Participate in training, orientation, and calibration sessions.

  • Ensure strict adherence to clinical trial protocols and data integrity standards.


Required Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience working with stroke patients.

  • Prior experience administering stroke-related rating scales in clinical trials.

  • Familiarity with neurological outcome measures and structured assessments.

  • Experience in multicenter or global clinical research studies is preferred.


Educational Qualifications

  • Minimum: Master’s degree (MA/MS) in Medicine, Neurology, Psychology, or related healthcare field.

  • Preferred: MD, DO, or PhD.

  • Equivalent advanced clinical training with relevant stroke experience may be considered.


Required Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in:

    • EQ-5D-5L administration

    • Modified Rankin Scale (mRS) scoring

  • Fluency in Bengali (mandatory).

  • Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote, home-based setting.

  • Effective time management within flexible monthly hours (2–12 hours).
