Role Overview

The Medical Research Associate (MRA I) ensures the health and well-being of clinical trial participants by performing assessments and procedures according to study protocols. The role combines clinical responsibilities, participant engagement, and administrative support to facilitate successful trial execution.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Participant Care:

  • Meet and greet clinical research volunteers and assess eligibility for trial participation.

  • Take vital signs, including height, weight, blood pressure, and BMI.

  • Perform phlebotomy procedures on study subjects, ensuring comfort and safety.

  • Chaperone study participants during breaks and provide personalized care.

  • Follow client protocols meticulously during assessments and procedures.

Collaboration & Administrative Support:

  • Actively participate in team meetings and assignments.

  • Collaborate with other clinical and administrative staff to support smooth trial operations.


Required Education & Experience

  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; undergraduate degree in a clinical or health-related field preferred.

  • Experience: 1+ years in a medical or clinical field preferred.

Preferred Background & Certifications:

  • Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medication Aide, Telemetry Technician, or Laboratory Technician backgrounds.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Phlebotomy Certification advantageous.

  • Strong command of English and the host country’s language for effective communication.

  • Compassion, patience, and dedication to participant well-being.

  • Attention to detail and adherence to protocols.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical team environment.
