Position Overview

The Medical Receptionist Float will support Pediatric Associates in Dallas and various locations, including Sniffles & Giggles, MDK Pleasant Grove, MDK McArthur, MDK Cedar Hill, MDL Lake Highlands, MDK Lancaster, MDK Oak Cliff, MDK North Cockrell Hill, Wynnewood & Saner. This role requires flexibility to float between multiple offices, ensuring smooth patient experiences by performing various front-office tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Check-In: Update patient information, insurance details, co-pays, and obtain consent signatures.
  • Patient Check-Out: Collect outstanding balances, provide visit summaries, and schedule follow-up appointments.
  • Insurance Verification: Confirm active insurance status and resolve discrepancies.
  • Charges and Payments: Post charges, reconcile payments, and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Documentation: Upload patient documents into the management system and sort mail.
  • General Office Duties: Maintain clean work areas and attend staff meetings.

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license required.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in grammar, communication, and customer service.
    • Ability to use office technology and maintain confidentiality.
    • Experience with medical terminology and documentation systems.

Working Conditions

  • Patient-facing role with some remote/telework options.
  • 15%-20% travel to various office locations.
  • Indoor work with some standing and sitting, and light lifting (up to 10 lbs).

Physical Requirements

  • Good vision, sense of sound, touch, and smell.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
