🧭 Position Overview

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) develops and maintains relationships with the medical and scientific community, including physicians and medical centers, to provide scientific and medical therapy area expertise. The MSL supports clinical trials, facilitates scientific information exchange, and partners with site management and monitoring teams.

This is a field-based role requiring significant travel within the territory.


⚙️ Key Responsibilities

  • Provide field-based medical support for clinical research programs.

  • Deliver scientific presentations on disease areas and company pipeline to investigators and study staff.

  • Partner with clinical trial sites to identify enrollment/screening barriers and propose medical solutions to support patient recruitment.

  • Support clinical development and operations teams via site recommendations, initiation visits, and accrual support activities.

  • Exchange scientific information in an accurate, fair, and balanced manner, adhering to legal and regulatory guidelines.

  • Collect and report field intelligence, including competitor insights, treatment landscape updates, and investigator feedback.

  • Collaborate with site management & monitoring staff for clinical trial initiation and execution.

  • Train study sites on disease, treatment, mode of action, and investigational molecules.

  • Support advisory boards and consult with medical professionals to facilitate patient referrals to clinical trials.

  • Participate in site selection by suggesting investigators and institutions for trials, registries, or investigator-initiated studies.

  • Identify and manage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), fostering relationships and enhancing company reputation.

  • Serve as a scientific resource to marketing, medical, and clinical teams.

  • Manage territory, projects, and CRM data entry efficiently.

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements, including mandatory e-learning courses.


🎓 Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare environment, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with physicians, investigators, and KOLs.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and scientific knowledge skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage territory effectively.

  • Compliance awareness and ability to adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred:

  • Oncology MSL experience

  • Proven experience in clinical trial support, site engagement, and scientific communications

  • Base Pay Range (Annualized): $200,000 – $265,000
