Job Overview:

As a Medical Information Writer, you will be responsible for creating accurate, evidence-based, and fair-balanced scientific content to support medical information needs across global markets. You’ll conduct literature reviews, adapt content for local/regional requirements, and contribute to regulatory submissions and medical writing projects.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of scientific response documents and other medical content aligned with therapeutic area strategies and business needs.


Key Responsibilities:

Scientific Content Development:

  • Conduct literature searches and extract relevant data from scientific sources

  • Develop and maintain scientific response documents based on evidence-based, current, and fair-balanced data

  • Adapt global response content for regional or country-specific use

  • Generate contributions to US NDA Annual Reports and compendia reviews

Project Execution:

  • Execute Medical Information (MI) projects with minimal supervision

  • Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure timely project completion

  • Conduct peer quality checks as needed

  • Demonstrate urgency and accountability in assigned tasks

Therapeutic Area Expertise:

  • Build and maintain subject matter knowledge within assigned therapeutic areas

  • Collaborate with global MI teams to align content strategy and execution

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Engage with medical, pharmacovigilance, and global/regional teams

  • Assist in identifying medical writing needs and deliverables for assigned countries

  • Support feedback incorporation into content updates and improvements

Process & Performance:

  • Ensure deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations

  • Conduct data sanity checks and ensure error-free content output

  • Implement elements of global and regional content plans

  • Support collaboration with vendors as per process guidelines


People & Teamwork:

  • Maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders (medical/scientific teams, PV, regional affiliates)

  • Assist and mentor team members in knowledge sharing and content development

  • Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams


Required Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 2–3 years in medical writing (pharma, healthcare, or clinical settings)

  • 1–2 years of direct Medical Information writing experience within a pharmaceutical company

Education:

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, M.Sc., or MBA in a relevant discipline

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent scientific/medical writing and editing skills

  • Literature evaluation and multilevel response development

  • Familiarity with MI content generation tools and document management systems

  • Medical operational excellence and risk/time management capabilities

Soft Skills:

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment

  • High attention to detail and accountability

Languages:

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
