Job Overview

The Medical Communications and Content Specialist will play a key role in the creation, review, and optimization of high-quality medical content across multiple formats and communication channels. This role requires strong scientific writing expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt content for diverse stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and consumer audiences. The position works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of medical communication materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, adapt, and reuse medical content across multiple formats to support medical communication initiatives across various channels.

  • Review, edit, and quality-check medical content deliverables in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulatory and scientific guidelines, including reference validation and anti-plagiarism verification.

  • Ensure clear, accurate, and evidence-based presentation of medical analyses and associated discussions in all assigned documents.

  • Tailor writing style and editorial approach to suit different audiences, including medical specialists, allied healthcare professionals, and consumer-facing stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and external agencies to maintain scientific accuracy and content quality.

  • Support coordination of team activities to ensure consistency, accuracy, and high-quality contributions across projects.

  • Manage multiple assignments effectively, meeting deadlines and proactively communicating potential delays, data gaps, or quality concerns to project teams.

  • Prioritize workload efficiently to maintain productivity and support team objectives.

  • Communicate project status and progress to internal stakeholders under the guidance of the line manager, ensuring alignment with quality standards and timelines.

  • Perform quality control assessments on assigned deliverables to maintain compliance and excellence in medical communication outputs.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine, or a related scientific discipline.

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in medical communications, medical writing, scientific content development, or a related pharmaceutical or healthcare role.

  • Strong understanding of medical writing standards, publication ethics, and content compliance requirements.

  • Proven ability to interpret scientific data and translate it into clear, structured, and audience-appropriate content.

  • Experience working with SOP-driven environments and cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent written communication, editing, and quality-review skills with strong attention to detail.
