The Medical Information Specialist will support global Medical Information Contact Center (MICC) operations, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely handling of medical inquiries, product complaints, and adverse events from patients, healthcare professionals, and consumers.

This role is ideal for individuals looking to build an impactful career at the intersection of healthcare, patient safety, communication, and regulatory operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily MICC activities in alignment with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage inbound and outbound calls and emails related to adverse events (AEs), product complaints (PCs), and medical inquiries (MIs).

  • Conduct timely follow-ups to ensure complete, accurate, and compliant data collection for MI/PC/AE cases.

  • Update, review, and maintain process trackers including call logs, reconciliations, and SharePoint records.

  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support workflow efficiency.

  • Maintain adherence to internal guidelines, quality standards, and regulatory procedures at all times.

  • Organize and delegate tasks appropriately to ensure timely completion with high accuracy.

  • Deliver work with minimal rework, meeting all quality expectations and client SLAs.

  • Ensure compliance with training requirements and contribute to training delivery when needed.


Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in life sciences or a related discipline).

  • Prior experience in call handling, preferably involving patient or healthcare professional interactions.

  • Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and SharePoint.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Experience in a U.S.-based call center or medical information environment is highly advantageous.


Good to Have

  • Previous exposure to medical information, pharmacovigilance, or healthcare communication workflows.

  • Experience with global MICC operations or regulated healthcare support functions.
