Job Overview

The Medical Advisor role offers an opportunity to be part of a global healthcare organization committed to advancing science and improving patient outcomes. Based in Tashkent and aligned with the EPD Division, this position is responsible for delivering high-quality medical and scientific expertise to support product strategy, evidence generation, and compliant medical communication.

The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional, regional, and global teams, as well as active engagement with healthcare professionals, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and medical societies.


Key Responsibilities

Medical & Scientific Support

  • Provide scientific and clinical expertise to support assigned therapeutic areas and Abbott products.

  • Deliver accurate, balanced, and up-to-date medical information in response to internal and external queries.

  • Support updates to clinical guidelines through scientific review and evidence analysis.

Training & Capability Building

  • Develop and deliver educational training programs for Medical Representatives, including literature review, data analysis, and scientific presentation development.

  • Create and maintain high-quality medical slide decks and training materials.

KOL & Scientific Engagement

  • Build and manage strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and key medical societies.

  • Support scientific publications initiated by KOLs, including data review and medical writing support.

  • Deliver scientific presentations to healthcare professionals at meetings, congresses, and educational forums.

Medical Governance & Compliance

  • Review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide medical input to Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, and Quality Assurance teams as required.

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, global standards, and internal governance processes.

Evidence Generation & Research Support

  • Support evidence generation initiatives through collaboration with KOLs, CROs, and internal stakeholders.

  • Participate in data review, medical queries, and research-related meetings.

  • Contribute to scientific dissemination activities, including congresses, symposia, and standalone meetings.

Cross-Functional & Strategic Collaboration

  • Participate in therapeutic area and brand team meetings at local, regional, and global levels.

  • Support business development initiatives through scientific evaluation and medical input.

  • Contribute to cross-functional projects including digital platforms, scientific websites, and medical communications.

  • Manage scientific mailings to HCPs and KOLs, including content creation, distribution, and follow-up.


Education & Qualifications

  • Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, or a related life sciences discipline


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs or a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry

  • Prior experience supporting EPD or branded generic portfolios is an advantage

  • Excellent medical writing and scientific presentation capabilities

Language Requirements

  • Russian: Intermediate to Upper-Intermediate proficiency

  • English: Intermediate to Upper-Intermediate proficiency
