Key Responsibilities
Medical Strategy & Scientific Leadership
Serve as a core scientific member of cross-functional franchise teams, providing expertise in the therapeutic area.
Conceptualize and manage medical projects aligned with franchise strategy, including:
New product ideation and evaluation
Therapeutic rationale and medical support for regulatory submissions
Pre-launch and launch medical materials, training manuals, and CME content
Franchise medical education programs and advisory board meetings
Data Analysis & Publication
Lead real-world clinical research and publications planning and execution.
Conduct literature reviews, meta-analyses, case studies, and patient-reported outcome research, publishing in high-impact journals.
Transform insights from KOLs into actionable medical strategies and programs.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
Support sales and marketing teams through medical training, communication of clinical data, and disease insights.
Respond to complex scientific inquiries from healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
Regulatory & Compliance
Ensure all promotional and medical materials are approved in alignment with internal SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
Apply knowledge of Indian regulations, including MCI Code of Ethics, UCPMP Code, and Drugs & Cosmetics Act.
Additional Responsibilities
Identify knowledge gaps and design medical education initiatives.
Collaborate with internal and external experts to shape therapeutic strategies.
Travel as required (estimated <1 week per month).
Job Requirements
Educational Qualification
MD in Pharmacology.
Experience
1–3 years in pharmaceutical industry or research organizations as a Medical Advisor or Senior Medical Advisor.
Skills & Competencies
Strong scientific acumen and strategic thinking in therapeutic areas.
Expertise in clinical trial methodology, research design, and ICH-GCP principles.
Excellent communication and peer-to-peer engagement skills with specialists.
Knowledge of Indian regulatory framework for healthcare professional interactions and drug approvals.
Proven track record in medical writing, publication planning, and advisory board management.
Ability to work in complex business environments and cross-functional teams.
