Role Overview

The Senior Executive – Medical Information is responsible for delivering high-quality, compliant medical information services to both external and internal stakeholders. This role ensures timely and scientifically accurate responses to unsolicited medical information requests, supporting the safe, effective, and appropriate use of ADVANZ PHARMA products across global markets, including Australia and New Zealand.

The position requires strong medical writing capabilities, regulatory awareness, and close collaboration with pharmacovigilance, quality, vendors, and international affiliates.


Key Responsibilities

Medical Information & Compliance

  • Provide timely, accurate, and compliant responses to unsolicited medical information queries from healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders via phone, email, or other approved channels

  • Deliver Medical Information support for the Australia and New Zealand affiliates in line with local and global procedures

  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements, Codes of Practice, and internal company policies

Vendor Oversight & Quality Control

  • Oversee and quality-check Level 1 Medical Information activities handled by external vendors

  • Review vendor activity reports, pharmacovigilance reconciliations, and product complaint documentation

  • Conduct product and process training for Medical Information vendors and internal teams

Pharmacovigilance & Quality Support

  • Ensure timely identification and reporting of adverse drug reactions and product quality complaints

  • Perform reconciliation activities with Pharmacovigilance and Quality teams

  • Support development, implementation, and maintenance of Medical Information SOPs and work instructions

Content Development & Scientific Support

  • Develop, update, and maintain standard medical response documents including FAQs and medical letters

  • Upload product information (SmPC, PIL) to relevant regulatory databases

  • Conduct literature reviews using PubMed, congress updates, and clinical trial data

  • Support scientific database updates and content reorganization

  • Provide scientific and medical updates to internal medical teams

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Support local affiliates and distribution partners with Medical Information activities

  • Work collaboratively across global teams, functions, and time zones

  • Demonstrate strong accountability, agility, and ownership in a fast-paced environment


Education & Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science (Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry, or related discipline)
    OR

  • Registered Pharmacist or Medical Graduate


Experience Required

  • Minimum 3–6 years of experience in Medical Information, Medical Writing, Medical Affairs, or a related scientific role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry

  • Hands-on experience in medical writing, development of medical response documents, and critical appraisal of clinical literature

  • Experience working with pharmacovigilance processes, adverse event reporting, and quality systems

  • Prior exposure to global stakeholders, vendors, or international affiliates is highly preferred


Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong scientific and medical knowledge with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Thorough understanding of Medical Information regulations and Codes of Practice (e.g., ABPI Code)

  • Ability to analyze and communicate complex clinical and pharmacological data in a clear, balanced manner

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work across global cultures and multiple time zones

  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with high learning agility
