The MSL will serve as a scientific expert and trusted partner to healthcare professionals, investigators, and research sites — facilitating clinical research, medical education, and scientific exchange in a compliant, non-promotional manner.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific & Clinical Engagement

  • Serve as a field-based scientific resource, providing credible, balanced, and non-promotional medical information to healthcare providers.

  • Build and maintain scientific relationships with physicians, investigators, and research institutions.

  • Deliver scientific presentations on disease areas, treatment advances, and company pipeline molecules.

  • Engage with clinical trial site investigators to identify enrollment barriers and collaborate on potential medical solutions.

  • Participate in advisory boards, symposia, and congresses to represent company science and gather insights.

  • Support investigator-initiated study (IIS/IST) discussions and facilitate the proposal process.

Clinical Trial Support

  • Partner with Site Management & Monitoring teams to optimize clinical trial initiation and execution.

  • Assist in site selection by identifying qualified investigators and institutions.

  • Provide disease-state and study-specific training to clinical site personnel.

  • Facilitate communication between investigators, company teams, and clinical operations.

  • Monitor and report field intelligence on competitor research and evolving treatment landscapes.

Scientific Strategy & Insights

  • Identify and profile Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and community-based investigators.

  • Gather and share scientific insights from the field to inform medical strategy and development plans.

  • Maintain a current understanding of disease mechanisms, emerging therapies, and market dynamics.

  • Support clinical and marketing teams by serving as a scientific subject matter expert (SME).

Compliance & Professional Conduct

  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory, legal, and ethical standards, as well as company policies.

  • Submit adverse event reports and complete required compliance training on schedule.

  • Act as an IQVIA ambassador, upholding integrity and professionalism in all external interactions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry (Oncology preferred).

  • Advanced knowledge of clinical trial processes, medical terminology, and research ethics.

  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to build and sustain professional relationships with medical experts.

  • Excellent project management and territory management capabilities.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and digital reporting tools.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across the designated region.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific or medical degree preferred (MD, PharmD, PhD, NP, or equivalent).

  • Prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison or similar field-based medical role highly desirable.

  • Solid understanding of Oncology therapeutic areas and clinical research principles.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Pay Range: $200,000 – $265,000 (annualized)

  • Actual compensation may vary depending on education, experience, and location.

  • May include incentive plans, performance bonuses, and a full range of health and welfare benefits.
