About the Role
The In-Home Clinical Solutions team at IQVIA is seeking an experienced and reliable Mobile Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist (Per Diem) to deliver in-home diagnostic and clinical services.
You will travel to patients’ residences to conduct phlebotomy, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and macular edema screenings, supporting treatment initiation and adherence programs.
This flexible, travel-based role is ideal for professionals who value patient interaction, independence, and adaptable scheduling.
Position Highlights
💼 Per Diem Role: Flexible scheduling — no minimum monthly visit commitment.
🕒 Paid Time: Hourly compensation includes both appointment and travel time (minimum 2 hours paid per visit).
🚗 Mileage Reimbursement: Paid at IRS-standard rate.
🗺️ Local Travel: Within assigned geographic area (up to ~100 miles).
🧾 Scheduling: IQVIA manages all scheduling and patient communication — you focus entirely on clinical care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform in-home blood specimen collection, labeling, and transport per IQVIA and regulatory standards.
Conduct trained procedures such as EKGs and macular edema screenings (training provided).
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, handling, and documentation procedures.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe working conditions, including transport and supply storage.
Manage and monitor clinical supply inventory.
Complete and submit all visit documentation promptly and accurately.
Coordinate effectively with IQVIA’s clinical support and logistics teams.
Identify and report adverse events, product complaints, or patient issues per protocol.
Maintain accurate time and mileage logs for reimbursement and audit purposes.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience in clinical or field environments — required.
At least 1 year of EKG experience — preferred.
Certification:
CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) preferred.
Note: State-issued CMA/CPT license required if located in Washington or Louisiana.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (for equipment transport).
Willingness and ability to travel up to 100 miles for patient visits.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Must pass drug screening and background check post-offer.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
Proficiency in medical equipment use and documentation accuracy.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Compensation & Benefits
💰 Base Pay: $25.00 per hour
Includes paid travel and appointment time.
Additional compensation options may include incentive plans, bonuses, and access to health and welfare benefits based on role and location.
