    Job Title: Manager, Medical Communications and Content Solutions

    Role Summary

    The Manager, Medical Communications and Content Solutions, within the Global Medical Communications and Content Solutions (MCCS) team, is responsible for creating and executing global medical content for oncology. This includes producing abstracts, manuscripts, congress posters, graphical abstracts, slide decks, medical education resources, social media content, infographics, videos, and other external-facing medical content.

    Role Responsibilities

    Content Development and Execution

    • Develop a wide range of medical content including abstracts, manuscripts, congress posters/presentations, graphical abstracts, slide decks, plain language summaries, medical education materials, social media content, infographics, and multimedia.
    • Research, organize, compile, interpret, and perform quality checks on technical and medical information.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as medical communications, scientific publication committees, congress working teams, digital content teams, and generative AI working groups to develop content for assigned therapeutic areas.
    • Provide solutions to authors on content development and collaborate with teams such as graphics, compliance, statistics, and generative AI groups.

    Project Management and Compliance

    • Ensure the accuracy and quality control of all medical content, ensuring it is objective and correctly represents data.
    • Manage project timelines to ensure timely delivery while maintaining compliance with medical content guidelines.
    • Train teams on relevant tools and new generative AI technologies to enhance the creation of medical content.
    • Track the progress of assigned projects and resolve any issues with guidance from the Team Lead.

    Industry Awareness and Skill Development

    • Stay current with evolving trends in medical content generation and ensure the use of industry best practices.
    • Train and develop expertise in leading tools and techniques for content creation and ensure knowledge transfer across the team.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Education: Advanced scientific doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, PharmD, MBBS/MD, MSc, MPH, MPharm).
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 3 years of experience in writing and developing medical content for the pharmaceutical industry, academic settings, CROs, or biotech companies.
      • Proven ability to lead and execute projects end-to-end.
      • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with authors and stakeholders across cultures and regions.
      • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while ensuring attention to detail.
      • Understanding of statistical and epidemiologic principles used in medical research.
    • Skills:
      • Excellent scientific writing skills, with the ability to effectively interpret and summarize complex data.
      • Strong English verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different settings and audiences.
      • Proficiency in software such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in developing medical content for the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Expertise in oncology or other therapeutic areas.
    • ISMPP-CMPP® certification.
    • Experience with multimedia and omnichannel content development.
    • Rapid adoption of new digital content, technology, and resources.
    • Previous global exposure in professional/education settings.
