Job Summary

The Manager – Market Research will lead and execute primary and secondary market research projects to generate actionable insights for Sanofi’s commercial and strategic initiatives. The role focuses on end-to-end market research management, from vendor onboarding and research design to data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder communication.

This position requires strategic thinking, project management, and data analytics skills, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality insights to guide business decision-making in pharmaceutical markets.


Key Responsibilities

Market Research Execution

  • Lead and support the execution of market research projects, including contracting, vendor onboarding, and timeline management.

  • Develop research materials such as questionnaires, discussion guides, and stimuli; review translations and fieldwork materials.

  • Monitor project progress and provide early insights to internal teams for timely decision-making.

  • Provide feedback to vendors and ensure research outputs are actionable and aligned with business objectives.

  • Close out market research projects in compliance with SOPs.

Insight Communication

  • Synthesize complex data and market intelligence into clear, actionable insights.

  • Develop impactful presentations and dashboards for Commercial teams and global stakeholders.

  • Translate market research findings into strategic recommendations tailored to audience needs.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with global teams, alliance partners, and external vendors.

  • Lead cross-functional project coordination, ensuring alignment across multiple franchises and time zones.

  • Support and mentor team members in adopting new technologies and improving processes.

Process & Performance Management

  • Ensure high-quality standards, compliance, and timely delivery of market research projects.

  • Maintain dashboards, reporting tools, and business intelligence systems for continuous improvement.

  • Track project KPIs, including stakeholder satisfaction, adherence to timelines, and quality of deliverables.


Qualifications & Skills

Experience:

  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical market research experience.

  • Strong proficiency in primary market research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative approaches.

  • Experience in General Medicine, Specialty Care, or Vaccines preferred.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong presentation and communication skills to convey complex insights effectively.

  • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous and matrixed environments.

  • Strategic thinking with curiosity, collaboration, and result-oriented mindset.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced data analytics, market research, and reporting skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and slide creation for impactful presentations.

  • Ability to synthesize and visualize data for actionable decision-making.

Education:

  • Advanced degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Statistics, Decision Sciences, Business Analytics, or Management (MBA, PhD, or Master’s preferred).

Languages:

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
