Job Summary:

Amgen is hiring a Manager – Incentive Compensation for its Hyderabad office. In this pivotal on-site role, you will lead the end-to-end incentive compensation (IC) strategy, including design, modeling, operations, contest planning, analytics, and field communication. You will drive alignment between business goals and sales motivation by building effective, compliant, and data-driven compensation frameworks.

Ideal for professionals with 8–13 years of IC experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, this role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge commercial data and make a direct impact on sales force effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities:

Incentive Plan Design and Modeling

  • Design IC plans aligned with sales and brand strategy

  • Build simulations and “what-if” models to assess fairness and impact

  • Evaluate performance using historical and forecasted data

Contest Design (SPIFs & Bonuses)

  • Create short-term contests and bonus programs

  • Define metrics, eligibility, goals, and payout structures

  • Manage execution, tracking, and performance reporting

Health Check Analytics & Plan Monitoring

  • Perform regular plan health checks and anomaly detection

  • Generate dashboards and performance insights for leadership

  • Ensure alignment with key sales KPIs

IC Operations

  • Own quarterly payout calculations and validation

  • Maintain IC operations calendar and field inquiry responses

  • Ensure accuracy, transparency, and data compliance

Field Communication & Documentation

  • Prepare IC documentation, FAQs, and training material

  • Handle escalations with data-backed insights

  • Track and document all rule changes and approvals

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to legal, audit, and regulatory requirements

  • Document processes per industry regulations (e.g., OIG)


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8–13 years of Incentive Compensation experience

  • Experience in Bio/Pharma industry or consulting (preferred)

  • Strong analytical skills; proficiency in modeling and reporting

  • High attention to detail with data integrity and confidentiality

  • Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced setting

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Experience working with large datasets and cross-functional teams

  • Understanding of IT systems and ability to collaborate with IS/IT
