Sanofi Business Operations (SBO) centralizes processes and activities to support a wide range of Sanofi functions, including Specialty Care, Vaccines, General Medicines, CHC, CMO, and R&D, Data & Digital. SBO aims to be a strategic partner in the execution of business processes and deliverables across global Medical, HEVA, and Commercial teams.

Main Responsibilities

As the SGH Manager HEVA (BP Support), you will play a key role in supporting Global HEVA (Health Economics & Value Access) business partners (BPs) in executing a variety of HEOR (Health Economics and Outcomes Research) activities, such as SLR (Systematic Literature Review), ITC (Indirect Treatment Comparison), modeling, and dossier development.

  1. Project Management

    • Manage a portfolio of research projects aligned with product strategies and value propositions.
    • Work with Global HEVA BPs to design, implement, and execute research programs, economic models, and trial design recommendations.
    • Ensure that evidence-based research programs are consistent with product strategies and contribute to internal decision-making, product launches, and lifecycle management.
  2. Research and Evidence Generation

    • Support the planning and execution of innovative evidence-based research programs to generate data on the clinical, economic, and humanistic value of products.
    • Develop research plans that include burden of illness studies, epidemiology, literature reviews, meta-analysis, observational studies, economic evaluations, and patient-reported outcomes.
    • Collaborate with Global HEVA BPs to identify opportunities to innovate in the HEVA evidence generation and dissemination process to ensure optimal reimbursement decisions and access.
  3. Strategic Content Development

    • Independently create complex strategic content, including the development of core value dossiers (CVD) and AMCP dossiers.
    • Review and ensure alignment of HEVA strategic content with key evidence generation guidelines and scientific messages.
    • Coach and provide feedback to junior and senior HEVA associates, ensuring effective development of knowledge and expertise.
  4. Stakeholder Management

    • Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, and Market Access teams.
    • Collaborate effectively with global and local teams across various time zones, ensuring milestones and timelines for assigned projects are met.
    • Work closely with HEVA BPs, RWE, Clinical, Medical Affairs, and Marketing teams to identify evidence needs and develop customized deliverables.
  5. Process and Project Oversight

    • Manage the evidence generation process in collaboration with HEVA BPs, ensuring adherence to standards and guidelines.
    • Oversee the execution of approved HEVA studies, ensuring they are completed within budget and timeline expectations.
    • Provide support in contracting and project management activities related to HEVA studies, including tracking contracts and budgets.
  6. Training and Development

    • Design and implement training programs to improve the effectiveness of evidence generation activities.
    • Leverage advanced training tools to enhance the delivery and impact of HEVA training programs.

About You

Experience & Expertise

  • HEOR Experience: At least 8 years of experience in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) within the pharmaceutical industry or a Contract Research Organization (CRO).
  • Project Management: Strong project management and analytical skills, including experience translating clinical and economic information into payer evidence strategies.
  • Health Economics Knowledge: Proficiency in health economics, epidemiology, public health, and related scientific disciplines. Familiarity with HTA (Health Technology Assessment) and reimbursement processes.
  • Research Expertise: Knowledge of methods such as observational data analysis, meta-analysis, indirect comparisons, and economic modeling to demonstrate product value.

  • Communication: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Capable of presenting complex information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within global, cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects across various therapeutic areas.
  • Customer-Focused: Strong customer focus with a deep understanding of the market access landscape and its implications for the business.
  • Independent and Team-Oriented: Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and colleagues. Proven track record in matrix-based environments.

Technical Skills

  • Reimbursement & Evidence-Based Decision Making: Strong understanding of reimbursement processes, value drivers, and how evidence impacts payer decisions.
  • Health Economics & HTA Knowledge: Expertise in health technology assessments (HTA), economic evaluations, and other methods used to demonstrate product value.
  • Scientific Evidence Review: Ability to systematically review scientific evidence to identify clinical and payer needs, ensuring that all relevant evidence is integrated into value dossiers and submissions.

Education & Language Requirements

  • Education: Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a similar discipline. A medical degree is a plus.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
