Local Pharmacovigilance Specialist – Belgium (Antwerp, Mechelen, Brussels)

Job Summary:

Hobson Prior is seeking a highly motivated Local Pharmacovigilance (PV) Specialist to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in Belgium. This role ensures the safety and compliance of pharmaceutical products at the local level, with responsibilities spanning safety documentation, adverse event reporting, literature screening, and regulatory collaboration. Fluency in Dutch and conversational French is essential for success in this role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage local PV systems and procedures.

  • Conduct local literature reviews for safety-related data.

  • Process and report adverse drug reactions locally.

  • Maintain and update local pharmacovigilance documentation.

  • Prepare and submit safety reports, RMPs, and other local compliance documents.

  • Perform safety signal detection and recommend risk minimization strategies.

  • Participate in audits, inspections, and regulatory meetings.

  • Train local employees and stakeholders in PV standards and regulations.

  • Ensure smooth collaboration with global PV and regulatory teams.

  • Attend and report on regular project and compliance meetings.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Dutch and proficiency in French.

  • Experience or knowledge in pharmacovigilance systems, drug safety monitoring, and GVP guidelines.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

  • Familiarity with local and global PV regulations and SOPs.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Must have the legal right to work in Belgium.
