Principal Field Clinical Specialist | Abbott (Remote – Eastern US)

Job Summary

Abbott is hiring a Principal Field Clinical Specialist for its Vascular Division, focused on clinical trial execution, product development, and field support for innovative vascular devices. This remote role supports territories in Eastern NY, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, and ME, with up to 80% travel. Ideal for experienced clinical professionals ready to lead late-phase trials and support R&D across a robust medical device pipeline.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Phases III & IV clinical trials for vascular medical devices

  • Oversee protocol implementation and final report development

  • Recruit investigators and manage trial design, site selection, and budgets

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and monitor adverse event reporting

  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies and support trial documentation

  • Monitor study adherence and ensure on-time study completion

  • Support group studies and investigator-initiated research

  • Consult on licensing agreements and inter-organizational collaborations


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in Cath Lab or Medical Device field

  • Expertise in:

    • Clinical Trial Support

    • Product Development

    • Coronary and Peripheral Technologies

    • Cath Lab or Surgical Technology

    • OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) systems

  • Strong communication, clinical operations, and regulatory documentation skills

  • Willingness to travel up to 80% across the Eastern US
