Launch Planning Manager – Diabetes/Obesity (Launch Incubation)

Job Summary:

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. seeks an experienced and strategic Launch Planning Manager for its Incubation Cluster, responsible for managing innovative pharmaceutical assets in the therapy areas of Diabetes and Obesity. The role covers end-to-end product lifecycle management—from ideation and development to commercialization—ensuring alignment with marketing, regulatory, medico-marketing, and market access teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies and roadmaps for diabetes and obesity assets.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for new products.

  • Define the product vision, positioning, and value proposition with internal stakeholders (R&D, sales, COE marketing, medical affairs).

  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle including development, regulatory clearance, market access, launch, and post-launch evaluation.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, regulatory, sales, and medical teams to ensure cohesive go-to-market strategies.

  • Formulate pricing, distribution, and market access plans for successful product commercialization.

  • Track key performance metrics such as market share and sales growth to refine strategies as needed.

  • Present product progress and risk assessments to senior leadership.

  • Monitor and leverage emerging market and consumer trends to drive innovation.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in STEM; MBA from a reputed Tier 1 institute.

  • Experience:

    • 7–10 years in core pharmaceutical marketing.

    • Proven success in launching and managing innovative pharma products.

    • Experience preferred in Diabetes, Obesity, or Cardiology therapeutic areas.

  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Competence in building persuasive marketing narratives.

    • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive decision-making.

    • Comfort with cross-functional teamwork in matrix structures.

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    • Courage to take bold strategic decisions and drive innovation.
