🎯 Role Overview

The Manager – Product Marketing (Ophthal) is responsible for leading brand strategy, market planning, and promotional execution within the Ophthalmology division. This role combines sales insight, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure strong brand performance and alignment with company goals.


💼 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Strategic Planning & Brand Management

  • Develop and execute brand strategies aligned with company objectives.

  • Identify emerging market trends and proactively integrate insights into marketing plans.

  • Design promotional and communication strategies for key ophthalmic brands.

  • Create and implement customer-centric campaigns and special initiatives for priority products.

  • Conduct monthly and quarterly brand reviews to track performance and identify improvement areas.

🔹 Field & Market Execution

  • Perform regular field visits to evaluate implementation of marketing strategies.

  • Address and resolve field queries promptly to ensure smooth operations.

  • Support sales teams through training, product knowledge sharing, and marketing support materials.

🔹 Stakeholder & KOL Engagement

  • Plan and execute campaign strategies for Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).

  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs for evidence generation, scientific validation, and promotional compliance.

🔹 Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Medical, Sales, Supply Chain, Digital, etc.) for cohesive plan execution.

  • Ensure budget management, resource allocation, and sampling activities are in line with marketing objectives.

🔹 Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Monitor competitor activities, market dynamics, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.

  • Adapt marketing strategies based on evolving market conditions and business priorities.

🔹 Digital Marketing & Innovation

  • Drive digital initiatives aligned with brand objectives.

  • Leverage data analytics and digital tools to enhance brand visibility and engagement.


🧠 Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in cross-divisional strategy sessions for portfolio growth.

  • Support launch readiness for new ophthalmic products.

  • Ensure all marketing activities adhere to regulatory and compliance standards.


🎓 Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)

  • MBA (Marketing / Pharma Management) from a reputed university or institute (preferred)


💼 Experience

  • 1–2 years of core pharmaceutical marketing experience

  • Strong understanding of at least one therapy area:

    • Ophthalmology

    • Biosimilars (Monoclonal Antibodies – MAB)
