Job Summary

Lilly is seeking an experienced and visionary Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Scientist to lead high-impact real-world evidence (RWE), patient-focused outcomes, and health economic strategies. In this influential role, you will shape access, reimbursement, and clinical differentiation through advanced data-driven insights. This opportunity is ideal for professionals in epidemiology, health outcomes, or health data science looking to make a global impact in pharmaceutical development and access.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive HEOR integration across drug development and commercialization phases

  • Formulate real-world evidence and patient-reported outcomes strategies for pipeline and marketed products

  • Lead the development of value propositions for access and reimbursement

  • Conduct and oversee economic modeling, observational research, and RWD/RWE studies

  • Collaborate with cross-functional clinical, regulatory, medical, and access teams globally

  • Lead research dissemination via manuscripts, conference presentations, and internal tools

  • Monitor global healthcare trends and integrate findings into strategic evidence planning

  • Manage cross-functional research projects, timelines, and budgets

  • Act as a strategic partner and subject matter expert on HEOR


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • PhD, MD, or PharmD/MS with up to 4 years of experience in health outcomes or related research

  • Background in epidemiology, health economics, clinical research, or real-world data

  • Strong understanding of global health systems, access landscapes, and drug development

  • Expertise in economic modeling, cost-effectiveness analysis, or patient-focused outcomes

  • Excellent scientific communication and publication record

  • Strategic thinking with strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
