Healthcare Payer Senior Manager – Advisory (Hybrid, USA)
Job Summary:
Cognizant Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager – Healthcare Payer Advisory to lead strategic transformation programs across healthcare clients. This hybrid consulting leadership role combines client-facing engagement, domain expertise in payer operations, and high-level program oversight. Ideal for professionals with 10+ years in healthcare consulting, digital strategy, or transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as Engagement Lead across multiple healthcare advisory projects.
Manage cross-functional consulting teams, project governance, and delivery execution.
Drive strategic growth, innovation, and opportunity expansion for payer clients.
Lead client meetings, assess business challenges, and deliver transformation roadmaps.
Oversee quality control, integration, and review of project deliverables.
Provide mentorship and people development across consultant teams.
Conduct post-project reviews to improve intellectual property reuse.
Apply consulting frameworks and ensure high-value outcomes through strategic thinking.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related technical field.
Minimum 10 years of consulting or advisory experience, especially in healthcare payer domain.
Deep experience leading large-scale transformation and digital strategy initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to lead client engagements and manage onsite/offshore teams.
Strong knowledge of payer operations, healthcare regulations, and business strategy.
Experience with business/financial data modeling and solution delivery.
Familiarity with consulting frameworks, process optimization, and stakeholder alignment.
Preferred:
Experience in Big 4 consulting firms.
Global client engagement experience.
Proven executive-level relationship management skills.
