Job Summary

The Healthcare Executive is responsible for achieving sales objectives within the assigned geographical territory by developing strong relationships with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), hospitals, chemists, wholesalers, and key stakeholders.

The role involves product promotion, territory management, customer engagement, market analysis, business growth initiatives, and ensuring compliance with Pfizer policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Territory Management

  • Achieve assigned sales targets and territory business objectives.

  • Develop and execute monthly territory plans for overall and product-wise sales growth.

  • Analyze sales performance and identify key growth opportunities within the territory.

  • Collaborate with the District Manager to:

    • Develop sales strategies

    • Validate sales forecasts

    • Improve business performance

  • Classify healthcare professionals into A, B, and C categories based on business importance.

  • Plan doctor call frequency based on customer potential and business priorities.


Healthcare Professional Engagement

  • Conduct regular visits and build strong relationships with:

    • Medical Practitioners

    • Consultants

    • Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)

    • Hospitals

    • Nursing homes

    • Clinics

  • Deliver customized scientific and promotional messages according to customer needs.

  • Conduct effective product detailing by communicating:

    • Product benefits

    • Clinical evidence

    • Research findings

    • Product efficacy

  • Organize:

    • Doctor meetings

    • Speaker programs

    • Round table discussions

    • Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs


Market Intelligence & Business Development

  • Visit chemists, wholesalers, and retailers to:

    • Monitor product availability

    • Track competitor activities

    • Collect market intelligence

  • Analyze hospital purchase trends, including:

    • Medicine budgets

    • Procurement processes

    • Rate contracts

    • Drug committee information

  • Track competitor strategies and provide market updates to the team.


Product Promotion & Campaign Execution

  • Execute promotional campaigns for new and existing products.

  • Support new product launches through:

    • Targeted doctor visits

    • Product presentations

    • Promotional activities

  • Ensure proper availability and visibility of Pfizer products at retail outlets.

  • Maintain effective use of:

    • Product samples

    • Promotional materials

    • Detailing aids


Operational Responsibilities

  • Follow approved tour plans and daily activity schedules.

  • Prepare and submit daily reports related to:

    • Doctor calls

    • Hospital visits

    • Customer interactions

  • Coordinate with CFA teams for inventory management.

  • Forward adverse event reports and product complaints according to SOP requirements.

  • Maintain accurate expense reporting and documentation.


People & Team Responsibilities

  • Mentor and support trainee PSOs or assigned field trainees.

  • Share field learning and best practices with team members.

  • Demonstrate Pfizer values through professional interactions.

  • Participate in required training programs and development activities.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards.


Financial Responsibilities

  • Achieve territory sales budgets.

  • Support collection of outstanding receivables when required.

  • Ensure appropriate utilization and accounting of:

    • Samples

    • Promotional materials

    • Business expenses


Technology Utilization

  • Use digital tools and technology solutions for:

    • Better information management

    • Effective field operations

    • Customer engagement


Required Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience preferred in Pharmaceutical Sales, Healthcare Sales, Medical Representative, or Field Sales roles.

  • Experience managing doctor relationships, territory sales, and healthcare stakeholder engagement is preferred.

  • Freshers with relevant pharmacy/life science qualifications may also be considered depending on business requirements.
