Job Overview
The R&D Management Analyst supports R&D business operations by managing budget tracking, forecast inputs, procurement-to-payment (P2P) processes, and financial performance reporting. The role works closely with finance, procurement, suppliers, and internal R&D stakeholders to ensure cost efficiency, accurate budgeting, and smooth purchase order lifecycle management across global R&D sites.


Key Responsibilities

1. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis

  • Manage monthly budget, forecast, and actual tracking for R&D sites

  • Input budgets and forecasts using internal financial tools (e.g., Mosaic)

  • Provide variance analysis and commentary to stakeholders

  • Perform ad-hoc financial and operational analysis

  • Support cost optimization and budget target achievement


2. Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) Management

  • Create, monitor, maintain, and close purchase orders (POs)

  • Resolve PO errors and invoice hold issues

  • Manage accruals and ensure compliance with procurement policies

  • Track PO performance indicators to improve process efficiency

  • Support supplier consolidation and cost control initiatives


3. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Develop and enhance P2P and expenditure management processes

  • Support system migrations and implementation projects

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Act as subject matter expert for procurement and AP processes


4. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Act as a customer-facing liaison between R&D, Finance, Procurement, and suppliers

  • Communicate with senior leadership and site managers globally

  • Provide guidance on procurement and financial processes

  • Ensure timely resolution of operational issues


5. Reporting & Data Analysis

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and risks

  • Provide graphical and written reports for management review

  • Support decision-making through data interpretation and insights


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)

  • Ability to analyze financial data and identify variances/trends

  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, or procurement processes preferred

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Experience with SAP and ARIBA preferred

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Stakeholder management across global teams

  • Ability to work independently and in teams
