Job Summary

Labcorp is hiring an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist II to support safety, environmental compliance, and risk management programs at its Bengaluru facility.

The role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs covering laboratory safety, biosafety, chemical safety, occupational health, emergency preparedness, environmental compliance, and workplace risk management.

The position requires strong knowledge of safety regulations, laboratory environments, audits, risk assessments, and safety improvement initiatives.


Experience Required

Minimum Experience

  • 4 years of EHS experience

  • Preferably supporting:

    • Laboratory environments

    • Research & Development facilities

    • Healthcare or scientific operations

Preferred Experience

  • 8+ years of EHS experience including:

    • Regulatory inspections

    • EHS audits

    • Laboratory safety programs

    • Employee safety training

    • Compliance management


Educational Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science

Relevant backgrounds:

  • Environmental Science

  • Chemistry

  • Life Sciences

  • Industrial Safety

  • Occupational Health

  • Related scientific disciplines


Preferred Certifications

Candidates with certifications in:

Job Responsibilities

EHS Program Management

  • Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs across Labcorp operations.

  • Support initiatives related to:

    • Laboratory employee safety

    • Biosafety

    • Chemical safety

    • Occupational health

  • Improve safety standards at local and regional levels.


Safety Compliance & Documentation

  • Develop and maintain:

    • EHS policies

    • SOPs

    • Compliance documents

    • Chemical hygiene plans

  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and company standards.


Risk Assessment & Workplace Safety

  • Conduct:

    • Workplace inspections

    • Safety audits

    • Risk assessments

    • Compliance evaluations

  • Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective actions.

  • Support continuous safety improvement initiatives.


Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions

  • Lead investigations related to:

    • Workplace injuries

    • Safety incidents

    • Root cause analysis

    • Preventive action tracking


Safety Training & Awareness

  • Conduct:

    • EHS training programs
