Job Overview – Health Economics Associate

As a Health Economics Associate at Parexel Consulting, you will contribute to the development, validation, and adaptation of health economic models that demonstrate the clinical and economic value of healthcare products. The role involves close collaboration with scientific and consulting teams to support evidence-based healthcare decision-making for pharmaceutical and medical device clients.

Candidates with strong analytical skills, expertise in Excel/VBA, and an interest in healthcare research and economic modeling are encouraged to apply.


Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & HEOR Support

  • Deliver high-quality scientific and strategic solutions aligned with client requirements

  • Work on existing health economic models and perform country-specific adaptations

  • Validate and review health economic models using industry-standard analytical tools

  • Support economic value demonstration for pharmaceutical and healthcare products

  • Conduct systematic literature reviews for health economic models and HTA publications

  • Analyze healthcare outcomes and cost-effectiveness data for market access projects


Research & Analytical Responsibilities

  • Search and evaluate health economic studies from scientific literature and HTA bodies

  • Assist in interpreting healthcare data for reimbursement and pricing strategies

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary global consulting teams

  • Maintain accuracy and compliance in economic modeling documentation


Required Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VBA and macro development

  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and scientific accuracy

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively

  • Self-driven, adaptable, and highly motivated professional attitude

  • Strong interest in healthcare research, HEOR, pharmacoeconomics, and the pharmaceutical industry


Preferred Technical Skills

Experience with the following tools and programming platforms will be considered an advantage:

  • VBA Programming

  • SAS

  • Health Economic Modeling Tools

  • Statistical Analysis Software


Eligibility Criteria

Education Required

Candidates should possess a:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification in:

    • Health Economics

    • Economics

    • Life Sciences

    • Mathematics

    • Statistics

    • Quantitative Healthcare Disciplines


Experience Required

  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience in Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) preferred

  • Prior experience in healthcare consulting, pharmacoeconomics, outcomes research, or economic modeling will be advantageous
