Job Summary

Novo Nordisk is seeking a detail-oriented Functional Programmer in Bangalore to support Risk-Based Quality Monitoring (RBQM) in clinical trials. This pivotal role involves developing customized reports using SQL, SAS, Python, and Power BI to optimize medical and lab surveillance. If you're experienced in pharma, data programming, and clinical data systems, and want to make a global impact in drug development, this opportunity is for you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop standard/custom trial monitoring reports using SQL, SAS, Python, Power BI, Qlik Sense, and other tools.

  • Conduct quality checks and peer reviews to ensure report accuracy and compliance.

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for reporting processes.

  • Facilitate monitoring meetings, gather stakeholder requirements, and deliver reports accordingly.

  • Train new team members, lead onboarding, and mentor junior staff.

  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and resource planning.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Clinical Information Management, or related field.

  • 3+ years in the pharmaceutical/life sciences industry, with 2+ years in clinical data roles.

  • Proficient in SQL, SAS, Power BI, Python; knowledge of tools like R, NLP, or JSL is a plus.

  • Familiarity with GxP, ICH-GCP, and clinical system validation standards.

  • Strong understanding of clinical data processes and medical terminology.

  • Excellent project management, stakeholder communication, and training skills.
