About the Role

IQVIA is seeking a Field Specialist / Surgical Tech Educator to provide clinical education, product support, and training in hospital and operating room settings. The role involves educating physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers on the safe and effective use of medical products across multiple portfolios. You’ll collaborate closely with the client’s field sales teams, focusing on in-servicing, education, and analytics to support customer engagement and product adoption.


Key Responsibilities

  • Educate clinical and non-clinical users on product safety and efficacy.

  • Provide in-service training and clinical support in hospital/OR environments.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and formal presentations (large and small groups).

  • Build strong relationships with physicians, nurses, and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with sales teams to drive product understanding and usage.

  • Offer analytical insights and deploy resources to non-clinical partners.

  • Maintain a high level of clinical credibility and peer rapport.

  • Manage your territory effectively, including time and resource planning.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year) required

  • Operating Room Surgical Technologist certification preferred

  • 2–3 years of clinical experience in Medical Sales or Surgical Tech required; 3–5 years preferred

  • Experience in surgical leadership/management is a plus

  • Strong group presentation and clinical education skills

  • Ability to work independently and assertively

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and time/territory management skills

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel)

  • Strong analytical thinking and structured clinical problem-solving

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Ability to represent and promote the client’s MedTech team culture

  • Comfortable working both independently and alongside sales representatives

  • High level of decisiveness and business acumen in clinical settings

  • Highly organized and capable of managing flexible work schedules


Work Schedule & Travel

  • Must be flexible to work outside normal business hours, including nights and weekends

  • Travel required: approximately 50%


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $70,000 – $80,000 annually

  • Bonus eligible based on performance

  • Additional compensation and benefit plans may be offered (health, welfare, etc.)

  • Salary may vary based on experience, skills, education, location, and schedule
