About the Role

IQVIA is seeking a Field Specialist / Surgical Tech Educator to provide clinical education and professional support in hospital and operating room settings. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and non-clinical providers to educate on the safe and effective use of medical products across multiple portfolios. This role involves collaboration with sales teams, clinical credibility building, customer relationship management, and analytics support. You will serve as an extension of our client’s field sales force.


Key Responsibilities

  • Educate end-users (clinical and non-clinical) on product use and safety in hospital/OR environments.

  • Provide in-service training, clinical education, and product demonstrations.

  • Collaborate with sales teams to build credibility and rapport with customers.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers in your territory.

  • Deploy resources and provide analytics to non-clinical stakeholders.

  • Plan and deliver formal presentations to groups of varying sizes.

  • Exhibit decisiveness and business acumen in clinical settings.

  • Manage time, territory, and organizational planning effectively.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year) required.

  • Operating Room Surgical Technologist certification preferred.

  • 2-3 years of clinical experience in Medical Sales or Surgical Tech required; 3-5 years preferred.

  • Strong group presentation and clinical education skills.

  • Surgical leadership or management experience preferred.

  • Assertive with ability to work independently and identify opportunities.

  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).

  • Analytical proficiency and structured clinical thinking.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually (varies by qualifications and location).

  • Bonus eligible based on meeting job requirements.

  • Potential additional incentive plans and health/welfare benefits.


Additional Information

  • Travel approximately 50%.

  • Must be flexible with work hours including possible nights and weekends.

  • Employee performance reviewed against clinical specialist standards with feedback.
