Job Overview:

The Expert Scientific Writer – HEVA will play a key role in creating and managing Health Economics and Value Assessment (HEVA) communications deliverables. This includes producing manuscripts, posters, abstracts, slide decks, and study reports aligned with HEVA strategy and global communication plans. The role requires contributing to the execution of HEVA communication plans, developing specialized content, and coaching junior and senior scientific writers. The position involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and ensuring adherence to compliance and publication standards.


Main Responsibilities:

People Management:

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders in the global business unit and medical scientific community.
  • Assist junior and senior scientific writers by sharing expertise, developing knowledge, and reviewing content.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members to enhance their technical writing skills.

Performance:

  • Create HEVA communications deliverables, including manuscripts, posters, abstracts, slide decks, and study reports, ensuring alignment with HEVA strategy and global communication plans.
  • Deliver materials within agreed timelines and quality standards.
  • Provide strategic support to individuals and institutions serving as resources for publications.

Process Management:

  • Manage core HEVA communication processes, templates, and products across the portfolio.
  • Ensure alignment with scientific and value messages, including Core Value Dossier, US AMCP dossier, and HEVA contributions to other submissions.
  • Ensure regular updates of Core Value Decks for key products, synthesizing critical HEVA evidence.
  • Maintain compliance with publication SOP and other relevant HEVA communication processes.
  • Support publication plan implementation, including working with selected vendors to deliver required materials.
  • Leverage advanced training tools to enhance the effectiveness of HEVA communications.
  • Develop and review study reports, including HCR and psychometric analyses.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with HEVA Global and Local teams, COA, RWE Global and local teams, and scientific communication teams to identify publication needs and assist in developing assigned deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Medical, HEVA Global, and Local teams to prepare customized deliverables.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in HEOR (Health Economics and Outcomes Research) within the pharmaceutical industry, CRO consultancy, or academia.
  • Relevant training/experience in health economics, public health, epidemiology, psychology, or other health-related scientific disciplines.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong stakeholder management and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in publications submission and understanding of publication procedures.
  • Ability to mentor and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Education:

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related discipline, or a Medical degree.

Languages:

  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.
